A service plan is a promise you have to keep twice a year. This tracks which plans are live, which are about to lapse, which have been paid for but never booked, and which visits a homeowner still has coming.
Approving a quote sells the plan and marks it pending. Paying the invoice starts it. A plan nobody has paid for never appears on the active roster, so the number you are looking at is revenue you have actually collected.
Plans expiring soon, plans sold but awaiting payment, and plans paid for with a visit nobody has booked. Three different problems, named separately, because they need three different phone calls.
It opens a service order on the technician calendar at zero dollars, marked prepaid under the plan and labelled included visit 2 of 2, and tells whoever schedules service.
The booking is refused if the plan is inactive, includes no visits, or has already used its allotment. The tech is never dispatched against a promise that does not exist.
Basic, standard and premium — the premium visit runs to twelve steps including a de-ionised water panel clean and a thermal imaging scan, so the difference between the tiers is something the homeowner can see.
The Certificate of Annual Service snapshots the plan name, price, features, equipment and serial numbers at the moment it is issued. Reprice the plan next year and the certificate a homeowner is holding still says what they bought.
